We have a printable checklist to help you remember what to bring.

ARRIVAL
Remember that your pet must be on a leash or in a crate when arriving or leaving. If you've never boarded a pet at Countryside Pet Spa, plan on spending about 15 to 20 minutes at check-in time. We want to know details about your dog or cat so that we can provide the best care possible. There will be a standard boarding contract to complete, giving us specific information about diet, medical conditions, special instructions, a phone number where you can be reached in case of emergency, and vaccination information. If you will be pressed for time on the day you check in, you may choose to come in anohter day or help us fill in this information over the phone.

First-time boarders will need to prepay at check-in time. We accept cash, check, and credit or debit cards.

MEDICAL RECORDS
We will need to see a current vaccination record when you arrive. This can be a copy of a record from your veterinarian.
  • For dogs, veterinarians recommend that bordetella vaccinations (to guard against "kennel cough") be updated annually. The vaccine starts working within 24 hours and is fully effective after 72 hours. This immunization must be current when you board your pet at Countryside Pet Spa. We also require that distemper / parvo vaccination be up to date.
  • For cats, we require that the distemper / upper respiratory and chlamydia vaccinations be current.
WHAT TO BRING
We encourage you to bring a favorite toy or two along to keep your pet occupied during the day. Please be sure that toys are at least tennis ball size or larger and durable. Pressed rawhide or other commercially available chews are great, but please no uncooked bones. For your convenience, Countryside stocks a good selection of toys and chews at reasonable prices in the retail store located in our lobby.

To make your pet's stay more comfortable, you may bring familiar bedding from home. Please be sure it is clearly labeled with your pet's name and your phone number. We suggest bringing several beach-size towels, as we are unable to launder large blankets or rugs. We like to keep the bedding clean if it becomes soiled during your pet's stay. For your convenience, we can provide acrylic "wooly" mats and towels if you prefer not to bring your own.
